I found this funny

My sweet friend, Judy, sent this blurb to me....

Five tips for a woman:

1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.

2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.

3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to You.

4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.

5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

Nothing to report

Not much has been going on lately.

Last weekend was kind of hairy with Liam's fits and running off in public. I was so mad on Saturday about losing my child almost 3 times, but it was my fault he was in public in the first place. We had a few stops to make and I over did it. Luckily he didn't get hurt or kidnapped. As mad as I was, I didn't want to take him to the rodeo Sat night... but we did anyway, of course.

I've slowly learned this week what the repercussions are for those dogs killing our chickens. The owners have double fines for the leash laws, vicious animals and another one I can't remember. They have all those fines to pay AND they have a court date in August. I hope they learn their lesson. My mole neighbor advised me that they are at least feeding their dogs food and water now. She has committed to make calls to dispatch if they get out again.

Anyway, Ian has been working his tail off, 15 hours on Monday and again on Tuesday. He thinks he'll get off at 5pm today, but he went in at 6am. He worked all day Saturday too. Crisis at work... lots of stuff to redo in their databases. I am surprised he's been as chipper as he has. He leaves on a business trip tomorrow and wont' be back till Sunday too... so I will officially have been a single mother for a full week. Whah, boo hoo. It actually hasn't been bad. I am just grateful Ian hasn't lost his cool with all the stress and long hours.

I've got to write Liam's birthday letter today. Watch it not post until the weekend... just watch. I am so bad the past few months. Oh well. It will get done, we at least know that much.

Side Note: I had a dream about Terri and Matthew last night. We went to meet them in Vegas and had SUCH a good time! There were tons of people there though... like a family reunion, but I think they were other blog friends of her's. Great fun. I love dreams like that. I'll take it as a sign that I need to get down to Beaver soon. That's more realistic than Vegas.

I totally could have used this in high school

So right on

How clever is this?

I can't believe I never thought of it... oh wait, I have a toddler that gets all the attention, so I am set.

Happy Birthday, Emily!

We celebrated Emily's birthday at the the Cheesecake Factory on Saturday. It was nice to spend time with Lindsay, Kate and Emily. They were very tolerant of Liam's dinner table antics and it ended up being a really nice time. I love these gals! And now I can say I love the Cheesecake Factory! YUM!

The guy that took this photo risked getting run over by going into the parking lot. He only snapped two photos and this was the best one. At least we are ALL squinting together, right?

She's in remission!!!!!!!!

Heidi just called me and told me she's cancer free! CANCER FREE! Holy cow!

He has been secretly doing another intensive regimen of chemo this week. Today was her last day and the test results were clear! I can't believe she didn't tell us she was doing another round. I have been so worried about her decision to start radiation this month and now she doesn't have to!

Prayers are answered and I am so grateful she's going to be okay.

For the Hubby

Ian is still going strong with his diet. I am so proud of him with giving up the soda and bad carbs. SO proud of him!

I put together his father's day card from Liam today. How cute is this?

The caption says:
"Trust is the currency of childhood, love the inheritance a father saves for his son."

Kate found that for me. It's so perfect.

The inside of the card has some big thank yous from Liam for all that Daddy does especially for him. I can't wait for Ian to see it next week!
