Mother's Day Out

I met Katie and Josh at IKEA at noon today and then not long after, Adam and Kik met up with us. It was so fun to go throughout the store and keep throwing such low-priced items in our cart! I was in heaven... no baby, no time limit... and wide open spaces FULL of anything I could want for my home! We had a great time! Can you tell I've never been to IKEA before? I am happy we finally got one. I have been shopping their catalog for a year now and there isn't much available online.

After our shopping spree at IKEA, we went out for lunch at Pei Wei. I had never been there, but it's basically a fast version of P.F. Chang's. It was WONDERFUL! The food was great, the company very refreshing and of course no baby to entertain! It felt so nice and relaxed. I am so glad I could meet up with my friends and enjoy some time away.

Yay for Mother's day out! I'm glad you got a little time to yourself. Ikea gives Matt a headache but I love it! It is addictive. Glad you had a good day to yourself.

I agree! We do make a lovely bunch, don't we? ;) We had fun seeing you! I promise we'll drop by next time we're in your neck of the woods.

Love the picture! A little time away from baby really helps a mommy re-charge and feel like herself again, don't you think?

that is way fun that you got to go. was it crowded, or has the hype died down? definitely planning a trip when we make it back home.

I saw mention of IKEA in Cheryl's blog too and it finally hit me that Utah now has one! Duh. I remember my first IKEA experience here in Seattle. I was spinning! Funny thing is though, when I go there now I'm not so impressed. something about it the first time is wonderful and then you go back a few more times and realize that it isn't as grand as you remember. I do like to go there during Christmas though, they have cheap decorations for your tree and house. I'm glad you had such a great kid free time with your friends. So important! I need to do that...

How fun! I've been to IKEA twice now and it has been so much fun. I'm glad you got to do it baby-free. I didn't take my boys either time and I'm so glad because I'm sure I would have lost them. LOL! What a cute picture with your two friends! :D
