Note to self... DOUBLE check all of hubby's pants pockets before doing laundry. Cherry chap stick polka-dots ARE NOT what you want on your "darks" load that has all your "good" clothes in it. This can turn an otherwise cheerful wife into a growling, screaming monster! Hubby is still cowering and recovering from his wife's tirade last night.
Sorry, Honey, I still love you and hope you'll forgive my scary reaction... we'll be pink greasy polka-dot twinners and hold hands as we frolick to the grocery store together.
Meet you at the couch at 10:30 for SNL and some good make-up laughing togetherness tonight!

Eek! Been there, done that. Sorry Gina!
I've done it with chapstick, a crayon (not good for the dryer) and gum. Not fun.
Oh, and just FYI- chapstick used as a crayon on the wall doesn't come off very easily either. I had a big, greasy-looking circle on my wall forever.
I too feel your pain. But if it makes you feel better, once...oh wait, TWICE, I accidentally put Adam's cell phone, then my own, through the washer. Yeah, they don't work so well after that.
I hate those grease spots. It takes a lot of pre-wash to get those out.
I had the same reaction and now I make my kids wash their own laundry with each other, NOT mine. :)
oh no! i've done the same exact thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have ruined some nice clothes by leaving UniBall pens in my pockets after work! Not good. You have my sympathy.
I do that all winter long because there's always a tube of chapstick in someone's pocket that I miss. I recently washed an iPod too. That was an expensive mistake!
Oh man...I washed a pen and dried it a while ago. Lucky me it exploded all over the dryer, ruining everything in it. I tried to scrub it out. Unfortunately the next time I used it the pen marks heated up and once again ended up all over my laundry. I feel your frustration.
Cherry lip balm, lipstick, and bubble gum. all the same in my book.
:) I'm sure the make-up goodness was well worth it.
sounds like a guilt free shopping trip for clothes is in order here!
I recently also had a laundry related/husband related post.
My hubby left our check book in his pocket.
Needless to say---after washing & drying...it did NOT resemble a check book any longer.
In fact, when I saw it there in the dryer, I was a little afraid of reaching in to retrieve it!
