Can you tell I am having fun?

I haven't been blogging like my normal self. It's odd, weird and surprisingly something that hasn't been at the forefront of my mind like it was prior to two weeks ago.

Having my mother-in-law here has been like a constant party. I am working, but when I am at work, I feel a larger longing to be home than usual... like I should be on vacation because we have a house guest.

I haven't done much that's in my normal routine since Dixie started her 6 week long stay... 4 more weeks to go and I really don't know where the last two weeks went. She has been my right hand (wo)man since she got here! If she moved in for good, I would be in heaven!

-My laundry detergent is disappearing.

-My kitchen sink shines!

-I actually pulled out my pile of clothes that need hemming, tailoring and dying.

-I haven't been whipping the laptop out the minute Liam goes to bed.

-I am staying up too late chatting with Mom or watching a cool show on TV with Mom, not blogging.

-Liam is happier.

-Liam is not crawling all over me when I work from home in the mornings.

-Drew (Ian's brother) stops by more often (to add more of the party feeling).

-Between me, Ian and Dixie, we make a phenomenal team for making good eats! We've had some awesome meals off the grill (thanks, Ian), out of the oven and straight from the cutting board. I haven't been to Burger King in two weeks because there have been some tasty leftovers for me to tote to work. Yay for good eats and not so many "yays" for gaining those last few pounds to put me right back to where I started the day before Liam was conceived. Oh well, my pants still fit... some of them.

To sum up... having Mom around is awesome!

That's beautiful! I am glad you are enjoying living life and having fun with your fam. That's what it is all about. There will be plenty of time later to fill us in on all of the details.

Enjoy the time with your MIL! We'll still be waiting here, even if you don't have as many opportunities to blog for the next few weeks! :)

Yeah, spend time with MIL. If you have a cool MIL, she deserves your time. Especially if she is helping out.
