Kudos to the hubby
Ian started a high protein diet last Wednesday. He gave up his caffeinated sodas cold turkey and is doing great with virtually no carbs and no sweets! I am amazed! He is even preparing his breakfast the night before so he can nuke it and eat it while commuting to work in the mornings. I am really proud of him! He wants to lose 30 lbs by July and I really think he's on his way. Very exciting!
She'll keep fighting
Heidi got her test results back. The few remaining cancer cells didn't shrink as much as they did last time. The doc said that they could get smaller in her recovery period though. They'll re-evaluate treatment options when Mom gets there and they can go talk to the doc together at the end of the week.
Heidi is such a trooper. I don't know how she is keeping up and still smiling like she does. The dean even called her last week to say in order for her to keep her student loans, she has to go to at least one class per week. What a crap shoot!
Anyway, we continue to pray pray pray for her. I love her and miss her very much. Here are some photos that always make me smile when I miss her. This is us on the train in Italy.

Praying for Heidi
My sister, Heidi, starts her second round of intense chemotherapy today through Sunday. I am so scared she is going to have a much rougher time this go around. They say the more chemo you go through the worse you feel.
I wish I were there to sit with her and make her smile while she deals with this crappiness. I'm good at making her laugh. I think me and Daisy are the most talented in that area when it comes to Heidi.

I thought this was a really cool DVD release. I have not seen any publicity on this. I do hope new moms and prospective moms get their hands on it. They should hand these out at the first pre-natal appointment.

I did it
...and I am still not sure about it.
I've asked myself all day why I went through with it!
One thing is for sure... it cannot be curly this way. I looked like a mop head with it curly! I tried that just a couple hours ago. Holy cow what a mess! I am straighten up now. Family photos tomorrow...
I hate the layers... I'm thinking of going all out Katie Holmes here soon.
